Security Officers or individual seeking a career in the security industry.

Competencies

These competencies equip the security officer with basic and specialized skills to enhance the officer’s work performance.

Qualification

Individual has to complete 6 modules (3 core and 3 elective modules) to attain the Certificate in Security Operations.

A Statement of Attainment (SOA) will be awarded to the individual when he successfully completed each module and assessed to be competent.

The Statement of Attainment (SOA) will be issued at a later date (2.5 months) upon final assessment.

Minimum Entry Requirement

There is no minimum educational entry requirement. However, candidates must meet the required workplace literacy and numeracy level and should possess the relevant assumed skills and knowledge.

Fee per Module (exclude GST)

Singaporeans or Permanent Residents	Licensing Modules: - Handle security incidents and services: $35 - Provide guard and patrol services: $30 Non-Licensing Modules: $50 per module
Non-Singaporeans	Licensing Modules: - Handle security incidents and services: $350 - Provide guard and patrol services: $300 Non-Licensing Modules: $500 per module

Subsidies Available

Employers who sponsor their staff for training may apply for absentee payroll funding under the Skills Redevelopment Programme (SRP).
