Competencies
The Diploma in Security Management is developed to equip officer with managerial skills and competencies to perform the job at managerial level and manage the security operations, agency or department. Competencies include skills and knowledge in planning security functions, managing and evaluating security risks.
Qualification
Individual has to complete 8 modules (5 core and 3 elective modules) to attain the Diploma in Security Management.
A Statement of Attainment (SOA) will be awarded to the individual when he successfully completed each module and assessed to be competent.
The Statement of Attainment (SOA) will be issued at a later date (2.5 months) upon final assessment.
Minimum Entry Requirement
1) Relevant working experience in the security related industry at a supervisory, executive or management level; or
2) Successfully completed Security WSQ Advanced Certificate in Security Supervision
These requirements are not applicable to current students attending the Diploma in Security Management
Fee per Module (exclude GST)
Singaporeans or Permanent Residents: $210 per module
Non-Singaporeans: $1,035 per module
Singaporeans and Permanent Residents who has taken the module before will need to pay the full fee.
Subsidies Available
Employers who sponsor their staff for training may apply for absentee payroll funding under the Skills Redevelopment Programme (SRP).
